Use this page for common problems.
No VEDA tab / add-in not loaded

Install from VedaExcelAddIn_<version>.zip on the VEDA 2.0 release (Installation). Confirm it appears under Excel File → Options → Add-ins (COM / disabled items). |

Fully quit Excel (all windows) and reopen. |

Open a workbook inside that model’s directories for Cell Info and folder-based linking. |

For workbooks under an imported model, the add-in uses the folder match, not the VEDA window’s selected model. See How models are linked.
Connection fails / features cannot reach VEDA

A file outside the model folder (Desktop, unsaved) is not this case: it either lists tags for the scenario-like name, or all tags. See Files outside the model.

“File is not synced” (Cell Info blocked)

In VEDA 2.0, sync the model (or that scenario) so the file appears in the synced catalog. |

You can still use Add Tag (by type) and Evaluate Row; Cell Info waits until sync. |
Tag In Tag error
The active cell lies in more than one overlapping tag table region.

Move tables apart or clear overlapping blocks so only one tag region contains the cell. |

Do not nest one tag table inside another. The add-in reports Tag In Tag when the active cell belongs to more than one tag table (Add Tag). |

Switching the active workbook refreshes classification and the Add Tag footer for that file.
Unknown attribute when typing in a cell
In Evaluate Row mode, only catalog attribute names are accepted in empty attribute cells. Unknown text is cleared and the status line shows an error. Pick the attribute from the pane list, or type the exact catalog name.
